Super Solo Bass Technique
In this video, Victor breaks down each of the techniques he employs to create his incredible style. Victor covers slapping, tapping, grooving and improvising in detail. Segments include live performances with a band; interviews dealing with technique, influences, and motivation; and a discussion about equipment.
Making Music
Victor and Carter have known each other since childhood, however Victor's "Yin Yang" album was the first project that they had ever recorded together. Hudson Music filmed two days of these incredible sessions for an inside look as two great songs, "Zynergy" and "Resolution" are introduced, developed, and recorded. It's a fascinating process to watch when players of this caliber are involved. Drummer's Collective 25th Anniversary Celebration and Bass Day 2002
On Sunday, November 24, 2003, Drummer's Collective, the world's premier drum school, celebrated its 25th Anniversary with an incredible evening of music. This video features an incredible performance by Victor Wooten and drummer Steve Smith. It also includes footage of their rehearsal. Other featured performers include some of the most creative and influential drummers and bass players in the world like: Dave Weckl, Horacia "El Negro" Hernandez with John Patitucci, Felix Pastorius, Steve Gadd, Kenwood Dennard, and the Collective Faculty. This double DVD also includes 5.1 Surround Sound mixes on four tunes, mixed from the drum chair, artist interviews, alternate edits, and bonus rehearsal footage.
